These Terms of Use apply to everything on www.water-softener-quotes.com (the “Site”), operated by The Lead Advisory Company Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site you agree to be bound by them.
What our service is
We are a free comparison service. We take the details you give us and pass them to water softener installers who cover your area, up to a maximum of three. We are not an installer, a manufacturer, a plumber or a water treatment contractor, and we do not sell, fit or service equipment.
Using the Site costs you nothing and puts you under no obligation to buy anything from anyone.
Prices shown on this Site are estimates
The price ranges we show are planning estimates based on 2026 US market data for a home broadly like the one you described. They are not quotes, not offers, and not binding on us or on any installer. Your actual price depends on your water hardness, your plumbing, where the equipment has to go and who installs it — none of which can be established without an installer looking at your home.
We make a genuine effort to keep the figures accurate and we cite our sources, but we do not warrant that any estimate will match the price you are ultimately quoted.
Your contract is with the installer
We are not affiliated with any manufacturer or installer. Any agreement you enter into is solely between you and that company. We have no liability arising out of an installer’s performance or failure to perform, the quality or safety of any product supplied, any failure to honour a warranty, or any damage to person or property.
We vet the installers we work with, and we stop sending enquiries to companies that do not perform. That is not the same as guaranteeing their work, and you should carry out your own checks — license, insurance, references — before signing anything.
The information you give us
You agree that the details you submit are accurate, that they relate to you, and that you are entitled to give the phone number and email address you provide. Submitting someone else’s details without their permission is a breach of these terms and may also be against the law.
You must be at least 18 and a US resident to use the quote form.
Consent to be contacted
By submitting the form you give express written consent to be contacted by us and by the installers we match you with, at the number and email you provided, including by automated dialling systems, prerecorded or artificial voice messages and text messages. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. You may withdraw it at any time as described in our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any way that breaks federal, state, local or international law.
- Submit false information or impersonate anyone.
- Probe, scan or test the security of the Site, or attempt to breach its authentication.
- Introduce viruses, trojans, worms or any other malicious material.
- Use any robot, spider, scraper or automated process to access or copy the Site.
- Do anything that would disable, overburden or impair the Site, or interfere with anyone else’s use of it.
Our content
The content of this Site — text, layout, graphics and code — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright. You may read it and print pages for your own use. You may not republish it, sell it, or reproduce it substantially without our written permission. Trademarks and brand names belonging to manufacturers are theirs, and we use them only to describe the products they make. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.

You may link to pages on this Site, but you may not frame our pages within another site. We sometimes link to other websites; we are not responsible for their content and a link is not an endorsement. If you find a broken link, tell us at info@water-softener-quotes.com.
Availability and viruses
We try to keep the Site available and free of malicious code, but we do not guarantee either. You should run your own antivirus software. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to your data or device arising from your use of the Site.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Site and the service are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profit or opportunity, arising out of your use of the Site or your dealings with any installer. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
For counsel's review. The clause above is carried over from the SLCUS
terms and reflects that the operating company is UK-registered. Two questions worth
taking a view on before publication: whether a US choice of law and venue would be more
appropriate for a site marketed exclusively to US consumers, and whether to add an
arbitration clause and class-action waiver, which is standard for US lead-generation
sites but is not currently present here.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top tells you when they last changed, and continuing to use the Site after that date means you accept the amended version. Headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
