What “sale” means here
Installers pay us for the introduction when we pass on your quote request. Under California law and several other state laws that counts as a sale or a share of personal information, even though it is not what most people picture when they hear the word.
What it is not: we do not supply your details to data brokers or list builders, and we do not share them with anyone other than the installers you asked to be matched with and the service providers named in our Privacy Policy.
One consequence worth knowing. If you opt out and you have a live quote request, we cannot pass it to installers — which means you will not get the quotes you asked for. Opting out is absolutely your right; we would just rather you knew that before you do it.
The quickest route: Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we detect it and treat it as an opt-out automatically, with no form to fill in. Firefox and Brave support it natively; Chrome, Edge and Safari need an extension. This works per browser and per device, so you would need it on each one you use.
Tell us what you would like us to do. We need enough information to find your record and confirm it is yours — usually the email address or phone number you gave us.
