Our commitment
A water softener is often bought by someone dealing with dry skin, arthritis in their hands, or a home they are trying to make easier to live in. A quote form that only works with a mouse would exclude exactly the people most likely to need one.
What we have done
- The quote wizard works without a mouse. Every option is a real button, reachable by keyboard, and the step changes are announced to screen readers.
- It works without JavaScript. If scripts fail, the form degrades to a single long form that still submits.
- Colour is never the only signal. A selected option shows a tick, a border change, a background change and a weight change, not just a colour.
- Contrast is checked against the darkest background each colour sits on, not against white, and the ratios are recorded in the build notes.
- Motion respects your settings. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations are switched off. The loading spinner stays, because it communicates state rather than decorating.
- Text resizes. Layout is built in relative units and holds together at 200% zoom.
- Images have real alt text describing what is in them, not keyword padding.
- Every form field has a visible label, not just placeholder text that vanishes when you type.
Where we fall short
Being honest rather than claiming full conformance:
- Some third-party content we embed — tracking and verification components — is not under our direct control, and we cannot guarantee its accessibility.
- We have not yet completed a full independent audit. Our testing so far is automated checks plus keyboard and screen-reader testing by our own team.
- Older pages added over time may not all meet the standard the newer ones do.
We would rather say that than claim a conformance level we have not had verified.
If something doesn’t work
Email info@water-softener-quotes.com. Tell us what you were trying to do, what page you were on, and what you were using — screen reader, magnifier, keyboard only, whatever it was. We will reply within five working days.
If it is the quote form that failed you, say so and we will take your details by email and get the quotes moving straight away. You should not have to wait for us to fix our own site.
